| Friday, November 09, 2007 Pretty fun day =) Stress reliever having a break... Not sure whether this is what many people did, but I spent the holiday having just that =Pp except for studying a short while in the afternoon with Melvin and Ami (which towards the end degenerated into a talk-rooster session, partially my fault sorry). Deepavali included the first M1 supper (thanks Melvin for initiating and calling me down) at PGP which was quite fun... And learned to play pool from Buddima (or however his name is spelled), who traumatised me in handball last week =Pp discovered also that for a teenager going young adult of this generation, my taste in songs is quite unorthodox, songs which can change the feng shui of the mahjong table heehee Caught up a lot of sleep, and thanks Amanda-across-my-window for waking me up for lunch... Fencing training today was cancelled at the last minute... Will book lesson with Coach next tuesday =) I wonder when I will find time to learn to drive. Nothing at the moment can beat the sheer joy of poking other people, though I regularly get thrashed by the more experienced ones... And handball rocked today! Dunno whether the standard was lower than last week but today I felt slightly more inclined to fling myself at the ball, though I still leave near post gaps during wing attacks. And it may be my imagination but the star jump does seem to intimidate opponents to at least throwing inaccurately. Thing that I'm darn scared about is that the IHG court has a goalkeeping area 6m in radius while in KE we're training with one at least 8 m away and even then I'm not saving everything thrown at me. Must buck up. Am included in the IHG team for next year. Loo Bin chose black for the goalkeeper's outfits reason being "It won't look dirty if we dive" haha... Which is quite cool cos my standard interior fencing outfit for FM is already all black. Pro keepers also wear track pants while playing. Thing is, I'll only tear mine if I play in them, so I'll stick to shorts for now. Thank God for the creation of the flat anterior surface of the tibia which allows a pretty secure deflection of low ricochetting shots. Also experienced for the first time the medical condition called "Handball Goalie's Elbow" (search Google if you doubt its existence!) cos I was jumping left when the ball was going right. At least the shot didn't go in =D Ah before I go on somemore I should sleep. Goodnight all... ~JcZw~ at 1:24 am
