Of all the times in the year, my body chose to have its personal meltdown which seems to have blown every circuit in my memory, cos now I can't remember what's the bio term for "fever"... "pyro-" something though I can't remember what...

Still, it could have been worst. If I was a sec. 4 about to take my HCL today I would have been really really mad.

But at least the fever's abated and I'm more or less normal now, albeit my sleep cycle is utterly shot cos I spent I think almost the whole of yesterday sleeping, except for 45 min which I woke up to eat lunch. Besides that, I slept until about 7 when I woke up to watch "Johnny English", which, I might like to say, is really funny! heh.

Anyway, I can't remember how to do maths physics and chem, so I'm just taking a break and studying Bio.

Yike GP is only a couple of days away!

Sigh today I got faked in chem mock sitting in the same place as I was during GP mock (when we also got faked by the way), though this time I was half expecting it... As I told Jon Boon, I saw it coming, parried accordingly, but kena disengage also... Speaking of which, I still can't wait to get my V-blade back and start flicking people's wrists hehehh =D

Can't wait for the As to be over, though NS beckons (I suddenly feel older than ever before after getting my nice green and white letter). So many things to be done

Grad night (still can't get used to "SDD", and I'll be gleaning fashion tips for Enjie and Hsia Pin)
Church Camp
FM Open Epee Classic (at least can squeeze in one more comp before enlistment)
Fencing camp
Christmas

etcetc, besides the expected St. John, going out with various classmates, squadmates etcetc, but then again, at the moment I'm just writing this to remind myself that I still have a life between err the two proverbial fires... Anyway I should like STUDY HARD so that I still will have a course to look forward to after I finish NS heh... Really hope I can get into medicine, or teaching or something.

Then if I go NUS, then they'll only do foil =(( But I become a teacher and come back to VJ, then I'll have to do epee again. how how argh anyway thats in the FAR off future...

Anyway its been raining, so my eyes are getting respite =) But my shoes and socks are not. I bet the rain is wearing away at that hole in my shoe... getting wet can't be doing it any good!! It's gotten much bigger already! But if I can hold it together for 2 1/2 MONTHS I'll be home and dry hoho. Or rather, I'd not be home, but I'd be dry. And then again, I may not be dry either, but whatever....

Anyway I burnt my bridges about studying in school by leaving my chem file in school to prevent it from being rain-ed on, so either I go to school tomorrow and mug, or I fail chem... Sigh I feel as though I've studied everything already (except Bio), but there's always ONE MORE question which one doesn't know how to do!!

Well ok.. Shall go process today's paper and hope I passed elucidation... Auf Wiedersehen und guten nacht

This came out in my testimonial which I'm returning to Mr Wong tomorrow:

"He actively contributes to class discussions, and his broad knowledge and perceptive insights often propels the discussion into greater depths."

This may be true to some extent, but goodness knows that when I read lines like this, again I can only think of ChuaH and I discussing how to best blow one's nose, and how such a discussion can take us through 3 GP periods and a quarter-roll of toilet paper 0_O

Dropped by open house on Saturday to take a look around... It was quite awkward walking into the school... The noisy student councilors who had been cheerily greeting all aspiring Victorians would just turn silent and one or two whispered "Is he from VJ?" as I walked past... Excuse me... the yellow fencing shirt which says "VJC"?? tsktsk... ignoramusus heheh... Except for one nice girl who said "good morning" and got a similar reply... Don't treat me like an alien can already.

Danced "I want you" in the gathering haze at Jingyi's prompting, then scarpered to the fencing booth which was tucked away in the corner of the hall... The "fencing is dangerous" policy had been applied once again, mores the pity...

Zhong qi and I managed to gather a small crowd by training close quarters in front of the stage... He was doing parry 6- riposte 7 and I was doing a simple close 4... But he's improved somewhat after starting private lessons heheh... We also did a short demo match with plastic blades (I'd only brought my glove with me). Atikah meanwhile managed to attract some girls by telling them that Coach had taught THE Jonathan Leong (Whom we also know as an ex-national fencer and Under-18 Foil Champion) last time haha...

We just talked on and on about fencing to whoever would listen... The sheer number of things you must learn and think of as you fence is one of the things that make it very very cool... You can't just do it by instinct (although you do need muscle memory), but you must really think on your feet... By the time the encounter ends and you can retreat back to where your coach can talk to you, it could well be too late! So a number of the sec. 4s really expressed interest in joining which is good I guess!! Hopefully the school will be more supportive now!

Jun Rong popped by and I intro-ed him to the juniors... Congratulated us on a fruitful year and we traded "All-the-best-for-your-As / All-the-best-for-your-NS [Don't walk into the intake of an F16]" before he left to find his class... Actually saw quite a number of year 3s there... The ex-house captains and such... Of our class I only saw Christl and Dory for a grand total of maybe 12 seconds?

Also met the first aiders manning the booth, and some of my SJ juniors in sec. 4... Hmm pushed off at about 12.30.

As I walked past the House comm members at the zebra crossing one of them yelled "ByE! See you next year!" whereupon I replied "I'm year 2. I hope not." before I could stop myself =Pp Seriously! Do I really look like a Sec. 4?! And what's with the general school population that they cannot recognize our CCA shirt... We should draw our own three stripes to look more professional haha...

Well, that's that for now... Have quite a lot of topics which I want to talk about, but not much time to do it....

Oh by the way, has anyone done the HCI phy paper, and if so, do you find it easy?

I have 2 pairs of shoes. Of my four shoes, three of them have holes and the last one has a worn sole -_-"'

Farewell assembly was much like I imagined it to be, although I sat through most of it needing to go to the toilet... Still, it seems not too long ago, we were sitting in the centre back of the class with our seniors watching THEIR slide show. Its kind of a pity that Mrs Chan is leaving... although she may not have been all that hot on fencing, she's still the best principal I've met! She formed that impression ever since she came to the roadshow in AHS and it's never quite left heh..

Well, performances and all were really good!! Especially Mr Teo's one (and pity I didn't realize it was him until it was nearly over... thanks Enjie for telling me) haha... I nearly split my appendix laughing at several parts of the performance =) It was so nice at the last part when they played "I'll be there for you" and flashed all the messages from the teachers to the students... (A message to 05S15 was the first one shown!!!)

Sang Victorian Anthem for probably our last time.. Can't think of any other occasions when we would sing it again.

One pity is that we only danced 3 out of 6 mass dances after the whole thing though... It would have been nice to dance everything again one for a last time... well, until after As that is?

Had interaction with Mr Wong... last time we'll formally see him also I guess... We also got a lot of stuff... stationery, some stress reliever package, testimonial, CCA record etc... Hmm I accidentally marked my CCA cert =/ signed the paper too fast and in the end signed the wrong one blah... Also got a ring fron the Student Council which says "VJC, Nill Sine Labore"

Went out to Marche at Suntec to eat where my main meal was about half the cost of my dessert... haha... spent a lot of time talking and celebrating Poying's birthday... Its kinda funny that despite my memory, I can never recall what precisely what we talked about, but I only remember that it was fun while it lasted... Sort of like JC life, really..

Went bowling at Marina... just one game.. and despite getting 3 strikes I was still hmmm quite low haha.... Blame it on me wasting 3 strikes.. it was like X 1 X 3 X 7(only the last one was good)... Oh Stella nearly thrashed me =/

It was a perfect day that was marred only by an encounter with a... hmm... errant junior from SJ (actually I'm not sure whether he even completed his 4 years... I have the impression that he gave up), an individual who doesn't hate authority, but happened to detest me personally (among a few NCOs), and was a major cause of irritation from Sec. 2 to 4.. Well, this individual who appeared to be spoiling for a fight waved me over just to address me with a 4-letter work, and happily for him, I retained more self-control than my sec. 2 self... Sigh left me feeling kinda depressed but ah I'm not going to let it detract from an otherwise good day!! =)

Well, that's that then... Until 2nd November, I'm not sure if our class will meet up as an entity again, or if we'll just run into each other from time to time, and I guess wishing for another outing until the 23rd of the next month will be a vain hope, but well, its into The Mugging Season for us now so...

All the best all year 2s for As and study hard!

Drink more H2O
Eat more C6H12O6
Breathe more O2
Breathe less C and SO2 (rain is coming!!)

Results are officially back... Hopefully I can get... 12 marks more per paper for the actual one. I know I can for Bio and Maths, hope so for the rest =/

School is super slack these few days... there is hardly a need to go at all save for one or two lessons out of the whole day... Not like I've been studying much at home either... Just one paper a day at max... Hmm...

Anyway I've finally laid the ghost of A-division to rest... Two nights ago I couldn't sleep just because I was thinking about the whole thing, and how, despite winning Indiv Epee, the whole competition was quite fouled up for the VJ team on the whole and I had been basically doing damage control throughout the comp... Nerves? Dunno... But I was lying there thinking "I'm going to foul up A-level and its all because I can't sleep because I couldn't perform at my peak at a stupid competition."

Anyway I was lying there and was praying that God would take away all the negative emotions then lo and behold, I really got a response.. Its like God was really speaking right into my head about some stuff concerning all the competitions I've gone through so far and hey for the first time in 3 months, when I have free time I'm no longer caning myself about the competition =)

Well, anyway I shall stop here... The discipline that some of my friends have are really putting the pressure on haha... Cheerio!

A conversation with my sister when the two of us were walking to Redhill MRT after cell group:

Talking about Jay Chou's Jian Dan Ai MV

Me: Its okay lar, but the girl is a bit smokey... err, spooky
_____________________________________________________________________

Nuts. The haze is getting on my nerves, specifically those in charge of freudian slips. Seriously. Those farmers should reconsider their actions. But then again, they've never heard of allergic conjunctivitis either.

Oh incidentally, I don't really go for Jay Chou, though my siblings do... I only know two of his songs, one of them being Jian Dan Ai (that's simple love, not fried egg love).

Sigh the last time I saw the atmosphere like that, it was like 1997? Is there serious haze every decade or what...

Anyway hope the cats survive...

I passed Bio S! Oh my goodness... Okay, fine it was only 50, and may only warrant a U, but I still "passed" heheh...

Anyway... hmmm.... mugging as per normal, alternating with perusing the latest copy of Reader's Digest... The year 1s finished their promos, which means, last year on this day, I cut open my big toe at Sentosa and drank a lot of salt water. Also means last year minus plus one day, we watched Corpse Bride, went to Christl's house, ate at Chomp Chomp, and ChuaH made a loud noise on the bus into my ear (It was the day of the "C"s).

Anyway 3 significant things happened these three days.

1. I killed a large ancient hairy beast. After stalking it carefully, we had a mighty struggle in which I banged my wrist quite hard on the door frame, but at the end of it, it was Jonathan 1 Coackroach 0. (Coackroaches, incidentally, are hairy and ancient, hailing from the prehistoric era. This one was also rather large). Hmm.... my hand got injured cos after one of our midnight skirmishes, I nearly stepped on it in the dark corridor outside my room, resulting in which I jumped back and banged my wrist against the door frame... -_-"' Now tell me, they don't come in colonies do they?

2. Thanks to my guardian angels, I missed getting mown down by a motorbike by about one short ruler's length yesterday. At the Eunos MRT 55 bus stop, when I was crossing the road, this reckless 1d1o+ whizzed down between the lanes, and seeing the light green, hit his accelerator and went round the corner instead of letting the pedestrians cross first. Happily the famous sudden jerk of mine prevented me from experiencing a collision, elastic or otherwise, with a load of metal travelling with considerable momentum. Thank you God. I shall stop trying not to be jerky =)

3. Thanks also very much to Mr Teo Aik Cher who drew this really nice cartoon of our class for us (of which we got one copy each)! My parents say that I should frame it up or laminate it or something (which I agree)! Its the kind of thing that next time I will come home after booking out of camp, look at it and remember stuff like how ChuaH and I would argue about the best way to blow one's nose =) But yea anyway I really like it!

Well shall stop here then... Cheerio!

Horse rat cat mouse dog moo moo meow meow hiss rattle spit as my brother would say.

All my prelim results are finally out... And true to form, Bio Paper 3 neutralized Paper 1 with exothermic reaction from my brain... One-Mark-Only!! And all because I didn't conclude my essay paragraphs with "thus the heart beats faster". Surely it's common sense that what I'm writing will lead to the heart beating faster cos that's what the question is asking!!!! Argh bish bish bish!! But ah well...

Curiously enough my results are all improvements from CT2 in July, however slight, (except for maths which went down by 1/2 mark or something), but the problem is that I spent only one day in the esplanade and school apiece studying in June, while I've been esplanading for what seems like almost forever in the not-so-distant past! My results do not vary with the amount of studying!!!

Oh yes... Remind me not to go near Maurice.. he's radiating smart-ness and jamming my brainwaves haha (alright joking =D).

Anyway... my GP compo's comments have grammatical errors by the marker... Can I get compensated for that? haha!!

Haze is bad... Its time to start carrying Patanol in the bag... Wish they would just stop burning stuff... or that the wind would change direction or something. Otherwise I'm gonna rub myself silly even before I go into NS.

Well, anyway its time to "pick up speed pick up speed" like they say in Starlight Express... Alright goodnight!

The haze is getting worst I can tell. This is cos I have two built in PSI indicators

1. The frequency of my eyes blinking, winking, flicking, rolling or any other movement. If the haze becomes very bad, my eyes flicker faster at a directly proportional rate, thanks to the increased amount of foreign bodies in the air, and thanks to allergic conjunctivitis.

2. The position of my bottle of eyedrops. When haze its low, its in the fridge. When its like now, its on the shelf in the living room. If it becomes worst (which I hope not), then its going into my bag to carry to school.

The haze is getting bad =( Today my eyes were quite sore and when I walked out of VJ, even the field looked so blurry (and I was walking down in front of library). Wish they would stop burning stuff in Indonesia... It would save me a great deal of discomfort. My father also asked me to cut down on running cos of the bad air (that apparently can trigger off my latent asthma), which is kind of a pity, cos I had already planned a run towards Bedok Reservoir in the near future. When I get to my sister's running standard, I'll be able to run there, run round the reservoir and run back!! That would be about 10 km... Scary... Haha but that's in the future anyway.

Today was a super no-brainer. Spent more time running around looking for people and various documents to verify and print than actually doing work. Thanks very much to Mr Lim Cher Chuan for providing a copy of the 05 paper for me to print though... Although I thought the hard-pressed lady in the photocopying shop was going to have a heart attack when I asked her to print everything in an hour haha...

Oh physics 2 came back as well... Quite funny... The best physics structured paper I've done is counter-pointed by my worst physics MCQ. The irony is really disgusting. Somemore I could actually have done much better for both. After spending so much time with classmates talking about op amps, I actually forgot that the .... thing could get saturated -_-"' But at least the aurora thing went okay... Well, need 86 / 110 to get A for physics, and given that I got so many nitty gritty errors in option alone, the chances look slim... Sighhh if A-level is like that can't imagine... But at least, thank God that this physics paper despite everything, is better than any other one I've done before....

Just watched part of the Disney Hercules over lunch... haha really hilarious!! Nice to de-stress... But wahh I'm almost grown up and the future looks so uncertain blah... Okay now I'm rambling... Time to do that precious N05 Chem paper...
