| Friday, November 02, 2007 I need wisdom regarding my future as a St. John instructor: Whether I can still commit the time and energy to continue helping out. Yet leaving means the virtual decapitation of the senior comm, since Ann Chi's no longer in S'pore and Yiyang and I are both busy. Still, walking around watching them train today brought back not a few memories... Went to NUH today. Not sure if the stuff there is classified but it was REALLY cool! haha... Fun sharing the experience with my anat group, even though they do do their best to arrow me, but all's unfortunately fair in love war and tuitorial... Today was pretty fun sports-wise. Went to NUS training and fenced with Angie, Jason and two seniors. I won't state scores, but after losing a match 7-6 to one of the seniors after having a two point lead, I'd say that I need a lot more imagination fencing left-handers than constant flicking. Only one point between Jason and the senior was a point hit. Besides that, side flicks and close quarters was the name of the game =( Med Wei Lun also was a pretty interesting referee =D Handball wasn't all that great cos today we weren't performing that well and the 'keepers let in one or two stupid shots... I know I let in at least two savable ones... Still, am learning better positioning under Loo Bin. I just have to train to the point when I can make a split second decision to dive for a ball or to just slide for it with my legs... And to round off a fun day, celebrated Melvin's birthday at C block lounge =) Not often that the year 1 medics get to see everyone else (though we know each other exists). Seriously, if it weren't for hall I'd know so much fewer (bad english) people! But happy birthday Melvin! And also, Happy Birthday Wei Lun! Our one comp team member we always wanted to tekan during his birthday but never got a chance to =D There are few friends in the world whom one can communicate with telepathically, but somehow, 7 years of St. John, starting with us always having to fall in next to each other (height issues) seem to have brought that about! ~JcZw~ at 1:31 am
