| Thursday, September 20, 2007 Had the dubious experience today of experiencing the most painful sporting injury (or should I say, incident) of my life. Getting my mask compromised by KaiWen, or getting my abdomen whacked by Clarissa in fencing was just shocking, but not truly impairingly painful. Think it was a heat cramp, cos the weather today was the hottest we had so far from soccer. I actually got cuts from diving cos the ground for once was not muddy..My serratus anterior also got whacked from all the diving =Pp... Today felt MUCH better in the sense that I knew when to run out and when not to etc.. But my handling of high balls is still bad... Its like, for those parabolic balls its ok cos its coming AT my hand from in front, and I can catch them as Terrence taught me or smother them with my body, but those which go up and then come vertically down... I'm darn jia lat at those haha... Anyway, I was very tired n thirsty and feeling heat exhausted but didn't want to ask for water cos all the strikers n defenders in the exercise didn't n they were the ones running around. Actually in retrospect I was also doing a lot of sprinting and the most yelling ("Keeper" "Defender" and the all important "CLEAR! OI! CLEAR!") Jumping for a ball when suddenly my leg just cramped and it didn't hold when I landed (still, after all the breakfalls in OCCT and learning to land with your shoulder it wasn't bad). And wah darnnn painful haha.. Didn't know why people always made such a big fuss bout cramps but now I know... Michael came over n was like, oh! your plantarflexors! haha... But that effectively put me out for the rest of the day lar... Except for playing for another team against KE (the other team wasn't very good... The defence could have let in an F16, let alone the 4 goals which were all scored from one on ones -_-"'). But well, I guess I'll continue learning slowly... Today was already a kinda breakthrough but not really enough. I'll see how the next days go... ~JcZw~ at 12:51 am
