| Friday, September 07, 2007 Am feeling much better since a) fencing training yesterday which was quite fun, but I've yet to fence someone of a really good standard, like the foil equivalent of Chuanyao or someone, who can push me. Didn't join fencing exco cos I missed the meeting, but more cos I've had enough of fencing exco in VJ. Think its easier to be a good fencer if one just has fencing to concentrate on. Even happier, my OG people plus Kia Boon seem to be getting on fine in fencing. Some of them move quite naturally already, prompting the China coach (or rather, the coach who's a China person), to say "ta bu cuo" (he/she is not bad, Chinese) yay! b) A few conversations with some people, among them old classmates, and a RJ goalkeeper (you know who you are if you ever read this). c) Handball training today which further took my mind off soccer and let me concentrate on the agility part of a keeper which I'm more adept at =) It was absolutely hilarious cos we freshies were all learning new stuff haha... But then again, I guess soccer has more to live up to than handball, so the mood there would be naturally more tense? But the last shot of the day was really one which I wanted to run away screaming from. The guy leapt so high and the ball went so fast that I didn't even move! Then the ball slammed into the ground just in front of the basket ball hoop frame and lodged there... It took me my bandage-tying strength to pull the ball out!! Haha Still the handball people are nice and they even went out for supper after training. I didn't join them though cos fencing tomorrow. Anyway am glad its the end of the week. Got a ton of Biochem to catch up on and my two fourth fingers are, in Medic-Weilun's words, "Chui" already. Shall finish my noodles and go sleep and let my flexor digitorum etceteras mend =) Thanks so much God and the people who've talked to me in the past few days! ~JcZw~ at 11:27 pm
