Ok Warning: This is gonna be another St. John-ified post...

Went to NUS for health screening today... They conclude that I don't have diabetes or blood in the urine or whatever, but Hep B screening will take a week so I'll be waiting till after Medi Camp.

But when I was called to be examined by the doctor, the doctor-in-question's name was "Dr Patrick Tan". And Lo and Behold! It was our Zone 2 surgeon! yikes!

First indication was when, instead of calling him "doctor", I called him "sir" haha...

Then mid way through the examination I confirmed he was who I thought he was cos I asked him "Sir, are you from SJAB". And he said something like, "Yes, wait! Anglican High! You're from Anglican High St. John!" quite cool.

He was very pleased that I could remember him training us in 2004 for N-comp, as well as going back in 2006 as a senior instructor, when he showed us all the magic tricks n stuff with his cards.

Anyway yea... it was a very pleasant encounter. Maybe next time somehow I'll go find him if I want to know how to go back to St. John as a volunteer doctor?

Next, went to AHS for some drill stuff. I-am-seriously-losing-my-grip of yelling at people... Not that I used to yell at people, cos as I mentioned, its a darn waste of time. But I hope I don't become too slack also... So far I think its cos my tolerance level is such that no one has made me want to blow my top yet.

(Contrary to popular belief, there HAS been at least a second time when I have yelled at a group of people besides Boon Kai's stunt with his beret and the toilet bowl of the Sec. 3 block..)

But usually only three things can hit my buttons.

1. Insubordination
2. Basic mistakes which can cost a casualty his life during training
3. AWOL-ing (which, thankfully, does not happen so much nowadays)

Of course, stuff like repeating the same mistakes, blur-ing during footdrill and stuff don't trigger me off so much, but time after time again can get a little tiresome as well. Oh well... Anyway by nature I'm not a very fierce person, which is why I'm supposed to be a very unique OC.. Not that I didn't maintain discipline, but I did so in a very unorthodox way? Plus the fact that I had Soo Yee to help me =D

Anyway pushed off to a very very tiring fencing training... And for the first time some girls stayed back for free fencing... And moreover, discovered that there are more St. John people than I thought in fencing! Me, ZiXian, Sun, Moses, and the treasurer Ren Ying. This proves my point that SJers tend to join martial arts in JC, having their instinct to kill and maim suppressed for too long =D Soo Yee, Evelyn, Joanne and Xuan Cheng being further cases in point.

Well shall stop here. Must settle tuition loan tomorrow.

And, welcome back from Brunei, to my platoon mates, plus my very tall fencing sparring partner haha =D
