| Friday, July 06, 2007 Heheh had a THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE (if very tiring day) day today... Woke up super early to go with my brother to VJ, before catching a lift to Dover MRT on the way to my father's work place so that I could get to Boon Lay, SAFTI MI, and finally collect my field pack. Met my platoon commander there too. He reminds me of Captain Willis in the book "The Hill", about Hill 875 (I think) in the Vietnam War, both in terms of leadership as well as size haha... Quite cool... like having a platoon commander in the book coming to life actually... Got home, had lunch, blew up three enemy bases in Red Alert 2 (Fantastic using 36 Harriers hoho), then rushed off to St. John Actually, for all the tedium, St. John was pretty fun today... It was kinda a break teaching the little sec 1s footdrill... Instead of all the tension of competition and all? Though I can't say the footdrill standard's as good as it used to be, but at least can see that they're trying (dunno whether cos they're motivated or cos they're scared of me haha). Then rushed off to fencing at VJ, did footwork outside the PT, where the floor's darn slippery... And Jon Boon and I were suaning each other about the other party's height, or rather, the lack of it, throughout the whole thing.. But he was bouncing around with so much energy and I was like dying haha.... Well... in the army they said there was "combat fitness" and "physical fitness". Now may I add that there also appears to be "fencing fitness"... Anyway on wednesday, there were 3 girls and 8 guys, then today there was 3 guys and 6 girls so I STILL don't know the new configuration of the fencing team! Then rushed BACK to AHS (My total transportation bill of the day was like $6 man!!!!) to do somemore training until 8 plus plus... Well all in all, today was kinda "meet the juniors day, and teach them stuff also", which was something I was very happy doing haha.... Since got to know quite a lot of new people. Hopefully still will be able to help out in the future... Oh yar! And I have one junior in fencing who's younger sister is my junior in AHSJAB! How cool is that! ~JcZw~ at 9:50 pm
