| Sunday, February 25, 2007 Sigh The last week was only 3 full days long + the 4 hours after book in on tuesday + the 13 hours before book out on Saturday, but this week seemed so long! And not only to me, but also to several of my section. We're less than 20 days to passing out, but it still seems so long. And that said, if I'm feeling like that now, I don't think I can survive command school. But then again, it could be just because I'm suffering from pre-book-in-blues again. Well, this week went well in the sense that my grenade worked as it was designed to do, and I did NOT in fact cause any serious incident heheh (other than dropping my half empty bowl of soup during lunch just before book out). The toilet has been behaving quite well too other than cubicle two which stumped even the sergeant-major, so we're quite vindicated heheh. The other highlight of the week was that somehow through my experience with St. John, I got chosen to be part of the company's drill competition squad -_-"' Though unlike the 4 / 5-man St. John team, this one is a 48-man contingent. Although some of us may not get to take parrt in the actual thing, I guess being considered one of the top 25% of the best footdrill-ers in the company is something. And if we win, then we'll get some prize, but more importantly, we'll get to perform during passing out haha... So that is some incentive. On the flip side, it means that we're going to be drilled like mad for the next few weeks, and our spare time will get eaten up, and its probably going to be quite physically painful. Oh yes... And we'll have to prepare our uniform like we used to in SJ. Although instead of starching, this time is mainly ironing (which wasn'treally needed in SJ since that synthetic material which our uniforms were made of didn't crease anyway). Anyway coming up is our actual IPPT, and our next route march so I hope I don't die. Also there's some OC's Parade thing where our uniforms will get inspected n we'll probably be killed for all the little mistakes like a little crease here, a little crumple there, a loose thread and what not. Of course, rumours abound about our A-level results coming out this friday. This is compounded by the fact that next week our book out is on friday! But I shall look forward to the book out and try not to think about results =/ Although people keep telling me I'll do decently, but I keep thinking somehow about how the last few times I've received the results of national exams there's always been one subject which I was expecting to do well in and I didn't. Though yar that was ALWAYS chinese. I just hope it doesn't happen to my GP!! Ahh well... Anyway shall stop thinking about stuff.. Cheerio for now ~JcZw~ at 3:02 pm
