One more high-key thing out of the way...

SIT test was.... to me, physically tougher than field camp, cos I happened to get a couple of officers who had a penchant for making us run from station to station through waist-high vegetation doing arty drill.... Had the hurhur experience of having to prone on a patch of mimosas. For once, was glad that I was wearing long 4 and my LBV.

Anyway my vocation for SIT test happened to be signaller. Wanted to be medic, but didn't get the chance, but in the end was very glad that I wasn't. Since the medics have to carry the stretcher n run around too haha... But still, managed to do my fair share of CASEVAC-ing. And being signaller was actually very fun =D

So I'm left with... IPPT (and I'm still not able to do a lot of sit ups, and though I was considered "fast" in OSSIS, I'm like just average in my platoon!), SOC (done three obstacles so far, and nearly killed my shoulder trying to do low wall until I got the technique right) and hand grenade which is this week. Shall not say much more.

Anyway, now that outfield is over, I really appreciate electrical lighting, toilets, and all kinds of food haha =) So I guess army DOES help to develop your character a little.

Today I've kinda reached the halfway mark, with 4 weeks and 3 days to go to POP.... that would be, 31 days, but minus the weekends and CNY, its only about 20 or so days!!! Man time pasts fast.

But sometimes I really miss JC, both the environment as well as the people. When I'm in the nostalgic mood admiring the sunset, sometimes I think about how Enjie and I used to watch the same sunset from the Esplanade before prelims, though more often than not we were being irked that it was shining in my eyes.

Then our sergeant told us that we could bring photos n paste at our mirror in our cupboards to look at in our free time (Oh yes, now that all the high key things are over n we're just doing PT there is really a lot of free time hahaa) n when I look at the two pictures of my class which I brought, it seems really a long long looonnngggg time ago that I was wearing that beige uniform and slacking around the concourse, walking around Parkway or what not. My life seems to have turned various shades of green, brown and black =/

Shall print a few more n bring back today haha... Still its an interesting thought that even in camp I'm physically quite close to a lot of my class. Huiping is in the same building as me, Enjie is a hundred meters more or less from where I am, and during book in or book out, I always have the march past the block where ChuaH and Desmond is.

Then on the happier note, my hair is growing back quite fast. On the sadder note, they're gonna cut it again... Deliberate one lor, so that we'll look funny over CNY and while collecting our results (which I don't want to think about).

Speaking about results, last night I dreamt that of my 4 subs, I failed two and got B and D for the other two. Argh!!!!!!

Anyway I'm rambling now.... So shall stop for now... This week is going to be very physically demanding, but I have CNY to look forward to, and maybe I'll be able to meet up with old friends from various places heh.

Final Note - a request from the below-mentioned classmate: To all female readers or people who know females (er okay, everyone) Stella has set up this blog thing where you can buy accessories and stuff. So do visit and support her yes =) The things there are quite nice (or at least nicer than if I had made them heh).
