Once again book-in draws near =/ Like many people have said, its not a time when one feels very happy, no matter how good one's attitude is.

Maybe its cos one is just all too painfully aware that though army has its good points, you're going to a place where you virtually have no freedom. Not that I have too much of a problem with that cos St. John used to be very regimented too, but then, the regimentation wasn't for a week long period.

But I guess one should kinda surf through your depression. I know as 6 pm draws closer I'd probably get progressively dull, but once I get to Pasir Ris and meet Alfred, Shawn, Shannon, JL and the rest, I'll cheer up again (cos my section is quite good haha although sometimes when we're under tension then tempers get a little frayed).

My memories of book in will be taking the ferry as the sun goes down, walking up the brightly lit Tekong ferry terminal in the twilight, with one hand dragging my bag and the other holding down the peak of my cap to make sure the sea breeze doesn't blow it off and get me charged...

But still, we're one third through. 5 weeks and 3 days to go before POP!
